When purpose driven organizations come together the impact reaches far beyond the classroom. Straight Walk Runway Academy is proud to have partnered with Haus of Noire on their “You Are Enough” after school program, bringing runway, confidence, and self expression to students at PS 155 William Paca School in Harlem.
This collaboration was rooted in a shared belief: every child deserves to feel seen, valued, and confident in who they are.
Straight Walk Runway joined the program as a partner to lead the modeling and runway segment, using movement and presence as tools for confidence building and self expression.

Bringing Runway Training to PS 155
At PS 155 William Paca School, our SWR team worked directly with students, introducing them to the fundamentals of runway in a way that was age appropriate, engaging, and empowering.
Through the modeling segment, students learned:
- How posture and body language affect confidence
- How to walk with intention and self belief
- How to express themselves without fear
- The importance of discipline, focus, and respect
- How confidence on the runway connects to confidence in everyday life
What made this experience especially meaningful was seeing how quickly students embraced the space. The runway became more than a walk; it became a moment for each child to take ownership of themselves.
Watching Confidence Come Alive
From the very first session, we witnessed growth.
Students who were initially hesitant began stepping forward boldly. Smiles grew wider, voices grew stronger and self doubt slowly turned into self assurance. The kids showed up ready to learn, ready to move, and ready to be celebrated.
The energy in the room reminded us that when children are given the right tools and encouragement, they rise naturally.

Looking Ahead
This partnership reaffirmed our commitment to bringing confidence based programming into schools and community spaces.
Straight Walk Runway looks forward to continuing collaborations like this one and expanding programs that support youth development through creative expression and structured learning.
We are grateful to Haus of Noire, PS 155 William Paca School, and every student who showed up and gave their best.
This is the work. This is the impact. And this is only the beginning.
